Celebrate the beauty of Japanese paper folding with these handcrafted washi origami crane earrings. Each crane begins as a small 4 × 4 cm square of washi paper, carefully folded by me with close attention to every delicate detail.

Particular care is taken to shape the outstretched wings, creating a graceful silhouette that reveals the beauty of each fold. The design is kept simple, with minimal embellishment, allowing the intricate cranes to remain the centre of attention.

Suspended from fine chains, the cranes sway gently as you move. Two Swarovski beads beneath each crane adds a subtle touch of sparkle, complementing the paper folds without overpowering them.

Each crane is coated in resin, giving the paper a firmer finish and added durability, including resistance to occasional splashes. Finished with gold-coloured stainless steel hooks, these earrings bring together delicate craftsmanship, gentle movement and understated elegance.

Care Instructions

Although the resin coating provides some water resistance, these earrings are not intended for prolonged contact with water. Remove them before showering or swimming, and do not soak. Handle the cranes gently, avoid pressing or bending the wings, and store in a dry place. To clean, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.
